Kai brings to his work a global perspective, combining technical precision, entrepreneurial experience, and a passion for place-sensitive design. His foundation is truly multi-disciplinary: he holds both a Bachelor of Science in Opto-Information Science and Technology and an M.B.A. from Huazhong University of Science and Technology—one of China’s leading research universities. Before relocating to Canada, Kai founded and led his own design practice, delivering built work in interior and landscape design for residential, cultural, and commercial projects throughout China.
Now based in Calgary and pursuing an Architectural Technology Diploma at SAIT, Kai is expanding his expertise in Canadian construction systems, municipal permitting processes, and BIM-based documentation. He currently contributes to hospitality and commercial developments with Systemic Architecture Inc., where his technical proficiency in Revit and various rendering programs supports precise coordination and refined spatial composition.
Kai believes that effective architectural solutions are rooted not only in aesthetics but also in construction logic, cultural context, and economic viability. He is particularly interested in low-rise residential and mixed-use typologies and aspires to integrate design and development as a holistic practice in the future.
